Leather flight bags

I got to take part in a team that researched and designed five purpose-built leather flight bags. Each bag features a handheld radio pocket and pockets for iPads, and we designed a soft-shell organizer insert that fits in the larger bags to keep tools in place. We were able to hold focus groups with local pilots and made changes with their feedback, including taking a backpack out of the product line. We developed a denier nylon version of the Markham bag, but it was discontinued. We replaced it with a messenger bag for the digital pilot (front center) that doesn’t need to carry paper maps, tools, or RAM mounts to and from the hangar. Two bags are still sold at LightspeedAviation.com/flightbags
